Careers | Nordic Graduate Programme | About the programme

As a trainee in Tryg you will have unique opportunities to make a career in one of the largest insurance companies in the Nordic region.

Nordic Programme of 3 periods and 19 months
As a Nordic trainee you will participate in a 19 months programme which consists of an introduction period and three working periods of six months each. The working periods are in different departments, staff functions and countries, where the second period is in a foreign posting. The programme also offers you trainee assemblies and courses based on individual and functional needs. Tryg_Trainee_pgm
Interaction
During every working period, you will be in contact with a manager, who will follow up on your work and development. You will also be in contact with the person in charge of the trainees and a previous trainee.

Our trainees are expected to be in close contact and meet regularly at 2 day assemblies. At the assemblies, we will work on different themes. The trainees exchange experience and help and support each other. During the programme, you will also have the opportunity to establish a good network in the organisation.

Different backgrounds
Our trainees have different educational backgrounds and nationalities. This diversity within the trainee group makes it an interesting forum for discussions where the trainees elucidate issues from different point of views.

Personal development
Our Nordic Graduate Programme put emphasis on your personal development and not education. We will make an individual development plan on the basis of your personal test results, previous experience in your work life, group exercises and discussions. During the trainee period, you can be offered to attend various courses. The courses offered are for example within general insurance and negotiation- and presentation techniques.

Your assignments in the three different job functions will be a combination of:

  • specific assignments
  • participation or management of various projects
  • access to decision making processes
  • a close working relationship with managers and specialists

The job as a Nordic Graduate in Tryg is challenging as well as rewarding, and it is a good start to your career that can lead to a position as a specialist or possibly a manager in Tryg.
